Eric Jacobson joined Frontline in July 2011 and currently serves as Senior Vice President and Director of Property Management. In this role, Eric leads a talented team of real estate professionals in property management, accounting, and lease administration to service clients including local and out-of-state landlords, banks/financial institutions, special servicers, and private equity firms.
Eric has experience managing hundreds of commercial properties totaling over 10 million square feet of retail, office, industrial, hospitality, mixed-use, multi-family, and other special use assets located throughout the Chicago MSA, Midwest, and nationally. Responsibilities include overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, capital improvements, repairs and maintenance, tenant relations, lease negotiations, vendor procurement, contract negotiations, insurance, risk mitigation, building code compliance, and litigation.
Eric’s specializes in managing distressed situations including Court-Appointed Receivership, Mortgagee-In-Possession, Bankruptcy, and REO asset management. Eric has receivership experience in over 25 counties across nine (9) states and federal court, and routinely prepares, files, and appears in court to report on commercial properties in foreclosure. Expert at overseeing tenant retention, asset preservation, and providing lenders with strategic recommendations to achieve best possible outcomes.
Eric has been a licensed real estate broker in Illinois since 2010 with experience selling and leasing commercial assets and utilizing Argus software to perform financial modeling and property valuation.
Eric studied Finance and Real Estate at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business in 2010. During his tenure at Indiana University, Eric was a member of the Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Society, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Alpha Lambda Delta National Academic Honor Society for Freshmen, the Provost’s Honor Roll, and the Indiana University Real Estate Club.
